*IMPORTANT! PLEASE REGISTER YOUR ATTENDEE(S) FOR THE SPRING FORUM (THIS IS DIFFERENT THAN YOUR MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION)
If you have already registered your firm or family office for your annual Membership through the Membership Registration Form but have not yet submitted the Attendee Registration Form for each person planning to attend the Spring conference, please do so as soon as possible!  The Attendee Registration Form link was provided in the auto confirmation email you should have received from admin@theinvestmentinstitute.org when you registered for Membership.  If you cannot locate the link, please email us and we will be happy to forward it to you!  *We need to receive an Attendee Registration Form from every Member, Speaker, Sponsor and Investor Client Guest.  Please read below for details on Investor Client Guests!

INVESTOR CLIENT GUESTS – DON’T FORGET TO INVITE THEM!
As part of Membership for Consultants, MFOs, OCIOs, Emerging Managers, Managers and Service Providers, your firm is entitled to bring an investor client guest (within TII’s specifications noted below) to each Member event that is a part of your firm’s annual Membership.  Investor client guests should register through the Attendee Registration Form link which was provided in the auto confirmation email you should have received from admin@theinvestmentinstitute.org when you registered for Membership.  If you cannot locate the link, please email us and we will be happy to forward it to you!

Please note these requirements prior to sending out your investor client guest invitation(s):

Permitted as Guests:  Guests of Members or Sponsor Organizations must be full-time staff of an endowment, foundation, pension, non-profit or single family office/high net worth individual and cannot (or their firm cannot) offer funds, products or services to those in the investment community.

Not Permitted as Guests:  People from OCIOs, Fund of Funds, Managers, Emerging Managers, RIAs, Service Providers and high net worth individuals who also offer funds, products or services to the investment community are NOT permitted to attend as guests.  The Investment Institute reserves the right to qualify all attendees/guests and makes the final decision on the category that a firm or individual is classified as.

VENUE FOR THE SPRING INVESTMENT INSTITUTE
The Spring Investment Institute Forum will take place at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, NC.  If using a GPS Navigation System, please use the following address for The Carolina Inn:  211 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516,  Driving directions and parking info can be found here.  Please see below regarding hotel reservations information.

AIRPORT
The Carolina Inn is a 25-minute drive (depending on traffic times) from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).

HOTEL ROOMS – BOOK NOW!
All attendees are responsible for arrangement and payment of their own travel reservations and hotel accommodations.  The Carolina Inn (our conference venue) is offering discounted room rates for a limited time and we anticipate the room block will sell out quickly, on or prior to February 1st.  Please click here to reserve a room in our discounted block at The Carolina Inn.

Please note regarding hotel room availability:  If our room block is sold out, we suggest contacting The Carolina Inn directly for rooms outside of our block or exploring other hotel options.  Please click here for other hotels in the area.  The Carolina Inn team recommends The Franklin, The Siena and The Rizzo Center and a portion of our group usually books at some of these other options as their first choice due to travel budget limitations or other preferences.  Attendees will often find one another in the hotel lobbies and ride over (in Uber, Lyft or rental cars) to the conference venue together.  We have found that some of our attendees initially book more hotel rooms than needed and then cancel the extra ones as they confirm their team’s or investor client guests’ travel.  If you find that The Carolina Inn is sold out now for your desired dates, you are more than welcome to request for your name to be added to The Carolina Inn’s waiting list for The Investment Institute block – group code 727523 (call 800.962.8519) and/or to check on any last-minute availability there as the event date gets closer – rooms often do open up.  We do, however, highly recommend booking at a different hotel in the meantime to ensure you have a room reserved.

TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN RDU AIRPORT AND THE CAROLINA INN
Individuals are responsible for arrangement and payment of their own travel to and from the forum. Taxis are available outside of baggage claim at RDU Airport.  Click here for RDU Airport Ground Transportation Information. Additional private transportation options include RDU Taxi at 919.840.7277 and Carolina Livery at 919.957.1111.  You can also contact The Carolina Inn’s Guest Services Department at 919.933.2001 to assist with any questions or requests.

DOWNLOAD OUR NEW EVENT APP ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE / DELETE & RE-ADD IF YOU HAVE IT ALREADY!
Please search the App Store or Google Play to add “The Investment Institute” app to your mobile device.  If you already had the app, please delete and re-add it so that you will have the updated version with your personal profile going forward – otherwise you will only have access to old data.  The app will request that you log in with your name and email address (this contact info will not be shared with anyone) – we highly suggest that you do so as we will continue to add features to the app as they become available to us and some will only be available to you if you create your own profile in the app.  Use the menu guide on the home screen to view the agenda, speaker bios, white papers, presentations, sponsor information and much more!  Agenda details and other items will be added to the App as they become available.  Please note:  Allowing the app to send you notifications will ensure you receive any onsite updates as well.

YOUR INSTITUTION’S / FAMILY’S MATERIALS – DEADLINE TO SUBMIT:  May 5th, 2020
